Peter Yaki was elected as the Regional Superintendent in 2012. Prior to that, he served as the Poroma District Superintendent for many years. Peter has a heart for the youth of CUC and in helping the church grow. Peter and his wife Margaret have 5 kids.
Regional Treasurer
David Jems is from the Waralai area and he and his wife Katy have 3 kids with one more on the way. David graduated from the Nembi Bible Training Center in 1993. He spent a number of years traveling in our churches doing TEE Training (Theological Education by Extension). He was elected as the Regional Treasurer in 2008.
Embi District Superintendent
Amos Altimap works in our Embi church district. Prior to becoming the DS, Amos spent time as a shepherd and then as an Evangelist. He and his wife, Talita, have 3 kids, but also have 7 extra kids living with them right now.
Kar District Superintendent
Philip Ayo has been the District Superintendent in Kar for many years. He has 16 churches in his District. He and his wife have 6 kids.
Poroma District Superintendent
Mackson Paul graduated from the Christian Union Bible College in 2008. Since then he has served as a pastor and Assistant District Superintendent. In 2012, he was elected to District Superintendent of the Poroma District.
Waralai District Superintendent
Alex Karemel and his wife Susan have 4 kids. After graduating from the Wesleyan Bible College in 2004, he pastored the Upip Church for 2 years before being elected as the District Superintendent in 2006. As DS, he is also pastoring a new church plant in Waralai.
Assistant Regional Superintendent
Peter Rapu graduated from the Nembi Bible Training Center. Since then, he has been a pastor of several churches including the Poroma local church. He taught at the Christian Union Bible College in 2008 and 2009. He was elected the Assistant regional Superintendent in 2011.
Regional Secretary
Rick Pumbere started working for the mission when he was a teenager cutting grass. He later attended a Technical Training College and learned Office Administration. He became the Kar district Secretary in 2004 and the Regional Secretary in 2008. He and his wife Elise have a 1 year old son.
Hagen District Superintendent
Joe Wani served as the pastor of the Rumbrumb church for a number of years before being elected as the Hagen DS. He oversees 9 churches. Two of these are in a very remote area of the country. Joe walks for 18 hours to get to these churches and to help Pastor them.
Montanda District Superintendent
Stanley Pesi graduated from the Nembi Bible Training Center. Since then he has pastored the Montanda Station church. He was elected the DS of Montanda in 2011 and looks after 12 churches.
Pt. Moresby District Superintendent
Militus Nueva graduated in 2000 from the Evangelical Brotherhood Church Bible School. He pastored 2 different churches in the Embi District before moving to Port Moresby to pastor there. He has been there for 8 years and was elected as the District Superintendent in 2010. He has been working on his next degree through evening classes at the Christian Leaders Training College.
